Study in Green and White

Monotone triptych to a soft horizon;
Hyperbolic green, stuck to the turned
Earth as our pre-picture of "work on the farm."

Far off, in the rain-dim light
One farmhouse changes the otherwise blank horizon —
Whiter still under the gray lid;
Lid that too has painted the fence, post
White.

An aspect of otherlife.
No bullets now of storm
Just unhungry green
And saint's white.
